The End by Percy Fairwater is a detailed examination of the End Day prophecy. From Genesis to Revelation the author examined its historical or future application.

In the author’s fellowship with other believers, fairly often questions arose about Bible Prophecies, particularly concerning the last days. This study is his attempt to find the answers to these various questions.

It is a serious and devote attempt to bridge the divide between the historical and futurist schools of end days prophetical interpretation.

In Daniel there is a wealth of real spiritual blessing and wisdom to be found. A wisdom that Percy wants to share with the reader. A study that represents 60 years of work by the author, which has been blessed by the Holy Spirit to produce this book.

About the Author

Percy Fairwater, at the time of writing, was an 88 year old believer who had ministered and studied the word of God in Pentecostal churches since 1957. A deacon in Cheltenham at Elim Church he began looking at the End days revelations in and concluded this study in 1971.

Conclusion

Going through history Percy points out the signs and wonders that have been and that are still to come. A book of warnings, but a book of hope and a guide to know what to do when the prophecies are fulfilled.

This book claims that God is directly involved in life’s situations, that in him we live and move and have our being.

The author describes how he was hit by a car and held at gunpoint in his own home. Why does God respond to some prayers and apparently not others? Where is he to be found? For those who feel that God’s intervention in human affairs can be explained as mere coincidence, these stories challenge that assumption.

Many of the stories are about real people, known personally to the author, during more than years of missionary service in Brazil. He tells movingly of the loss of his first two children and the miraculous healing of a sick child in the Amazon rainforest and of a young man cured of cancer, having been given two years to live by the doctors.

Dr. John Dyer is  Baptist minister having trained for the Christian ministry at Spurgeon’s College in London. He served in Brazil with the Baptist Missionary Society from 1978 to 2012. His main work in Brazil focused on leadership training for the churches. John is married to Maria and have one son, João Marcos, and two grandchildren, Aurora and Luís João.

Chapter 2 –Trusting God for your future prosperity

During the very intense times of our battle to walk obediently with God, we become very aware of our own weaknesses and the need for God’s strength.  As I was writing this passage I was in physical pain. Many questions were bouncing around in my head as to why I have to suffer in this way.  How can I do anyone any good like this?  Moreover, my many previous ailments only seemed to reinforce my weaknesses, not my faith.  All my thoughts were on relief and the lack of God’s help.  I know he can heal, so why am I going through this?  All my previous attempts to grow in faith seem to lead me from one trial to the next.

During this time ‘hope’ was just a four letter word with very little meaning in my life, to the point where I would say to myself ‘I want out’, or ‘I’ve had enough!’  If I were to tell you that I felt any other way, I would be lying to you.  My mind was not short of suggestions either, as to how I could temporarily escape from my condition, many of them worldly.  Standing back and looking at such situations from a position of faith, I found extremely difficult.  I also knew that this is exactly what I had to do.

This is the battle ground of faith for the believer where the ‘…weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds…’    (2 Corinthians 10:4 NKJV).  During such times let your hurt be known and continue to seek God.  Your honesty in prayer during these times will not alienate you from his presence; we all struggle with difficulties that challenge our faith at times.  However, we must strive to ensure that the difficulty does not have the final word on any present circumstance, which is contrary to what God has promised us personally, or through his word.

INTRODUCTION

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God. For no man can do these miracles, that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:1-6)

The real message of the Lord’s sufferings on the cross is missing from the Kingdom’s message and is making the Lord’s suffering of no effect. The purpose of the cross was the establishment of God’s kingdom here on earth and, just as every kingdom has an entrance, the focus of Jesus Christ was to bring man out from this evil world into the kingdom of God, which He came to establish on earth. He said in me, you will find peace but in the world, you will have tribulations, because I am the Way, the Truth and the Life…. (John 14:6)

The title of this book, Nicodemus, you must be Born Again, is a complete self-interpreted message to the children and the men of God, who have been in ministry for many years and claim to be doing well in ministry but still need to be born again. Some have promoted themselves to be Bishops, Apostles, Pastors, Prophets and Evangelists but are still looking for that which would make them great in the sight of men. In the eyes of God, they are like Nicodemus, needing to be born again of water and of the Spirit in Jesus’ name for the remission of their sins.
