The author started his spiritual journey with only some rudimentary knowledge of the Bible and indeed the Christian faith. He did not fully understand the biblical concept of salvation; the concept of healing or miracle was inconceivable to him. By God’s grace and provision, his faith in Jesus and knowledge in the Bible grew. Apart from the teaching he has received from preachers and revelation through reading the scripture and praying, the author is convinced that the Holy Spirit teaches him in ordinary daily activities, including those on the job, leading to the growth and maturity of his Christian faith.
As a medical doctor, the author has seen many patients from various backgrounds. Some patients help him see God’s grace and love; others led him to see divine healing; many including those in this collection prompt him to reflect on his faith in Jesus Christ.
