rescue welcome to the soul clinic of the lord

Extract from Welcome to the Soul Clinic of the Lord

Gina Osei’s book Welcome to the Soul Clinic of the Lord which addresses the full Gospel of Jesus Christ and the fact that He came to set the captives free. Here is an extract from her book below:

Chapter 2 – Sound Doctrine

It is very important for us to walk worthy of our vocation. Ephesians 4:1, “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called. With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

In other words, let us walk in our own calling. If you are called as a carpenter, be just that. If you are called to be a doctor, be a doctor. As a doctor, if you try to do the work of the carpenter, there would be imperfect outcomes and you would suffer loss and people would suffer. The book of Joel talks about not breaking ranks.

Joel 2:7-8 “They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march everyone on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk everyone in his path.”

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:1, “And he gave some, apostles and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors, and some, teachers for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

All these ministries have been set up by the Most High in His infinite wisdom to supply the needs of His Kingdom. The ministry of the apostle is different from the ministry of the prophet and so on and, unless you are given the opportunity by God Himself to operate in another ministry at any given time, you are actually breaking ranks if you make any presumptuous moves. There will be no anointing to operate effectively in such a ministry.

God anoints us when He sends us on any form of assignment and in the ministry into which, He Himself has called us. I was listening to a prophet whose prophetic utterances I have come to find accurate. My spirit bore great witness to the truths from him as a prophet of God but during one of his programs, I felt a sudden sense of deflation when he unexpectedly launched an attack on preachers who preach on generational curses. These were his words “Some have preached about visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the third and the fourth generations, this is not true, why should you pay for the sins that you know nothing about? Plus, when you become born again that was it…”

The man of God was really watering down the concept of deliverance. All I could say to myself was that here is a beautiful and anointed prophet. If you have not been given to the knowledge of demonology and deliverance, please do not mess up the minds of the people of God, because it is part of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The point is, irrespective of what individuals believe: the Truth is the Truth. Lamentation 5:7 “Our fathers have sinned and are not and we have borne their iniquities.”

The Bible speaks for itself and in Jeremiah 31:29-30 it states, “In those days they shall say no more, the fathers have eaten a sour grape and the children’s teeth are set on edge. 30but every one shall die for his own iniquity: every one that eats a sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.” This will be after the new covenant is made by the blood of Jesus and according His teachings. – Written by Gina Osei

i do, i do, i do, live always wins - christian books

Extract from I DO, I DO, I DO, LOVE ALWAYS WINS

Experiencing ups and downs in your marriage? Marriage in general has highs and lows. In I do, I do, I do, Love always wins, by Patricia Gault, is a love story that has twists and turns! It is a personal testimony about how God restored Pat’s marriage.

Here is a preview of her book:

Initially, I felt I would be a fool to let go of this one – there before me was this tousle-haired young fellow sporting a cheeky grin, and with the most piercing blue eyes ever. In his early twenties, just a year my senior, he was innocently handing out a tray of hors d’oeuvres.  His voice, which I have always found attractive, was as someone recently described it, rich, smooth and velvety. My knees were doing the proverbial knocking and I was totally bowled over – as the expression goes. ‘Where have you been all my life?’ I mused. The feeling seemed mutual. Although it was like love at first sight – it was more like lust at first sight. Who can say what love is when you first set eyes on someone? It takes years to learn what the ‘love’ word really means. But I was hooked, and I understood that in order to keep this one interested, rightly or wrongly, I had better play at ‘hard to get.’ So, quite out of character, I decided rather callously to play it cool; that I would two-time him for a good few weeks after that first encounter.  This was so not my usual style; my little ploy worked though. Having been snubbed a few times on a few dates, James finally called on me where I was renting a room from an aunt and uncle of mine in West London and declared his intentions towards me were serious – at which stage I waved the other chap goodbye – permanently.

For the first little while it was James, Pat and Hugo. No, not another person – but a big, black and white, spotty, slobbering dog belonging to my aunt and uncle; Hugo seemed to enjoy coming along for the ride, as if he was my personal escort. We would all squeeze into James’s small whizzy sports car and spend many happy hours driving to the coast, the country or just to the local park, where we would walk and walk, talk and talk, generally getting to know each other better.  I would then be dropped off in West London, whilst James spent many hours removing Hugo’s copious bits of short hair from his beloved car.

After a few weeks, I had moved into a flat in north London, shared with a friend. In the end that proved to be just a temporary arrangement. As James and I became more and more involved, so we started to look for suitable rental accommodation; I knew I wanted to be married to this man, and permanently. But supposing he didn’t feel the same? Was I going to regret this decision?

gospel stories - christian books

Extract from Gospel Stories

Michael Wests’ book Gospel Stories are stories that provide an easy and accessible way for folk who don’t know much about Christianity to get a better understanding of who Jesus is, and the love he has for everyone.

The stories try and imagine what was going through the minds of various people who had met Jesus and experienced his ministry, with the hope that it will allow the reader to be ‘in their shoes.’

Here is an extract from the book:

Free at last!

I can’t get him out of my mind. A few days ago I was out when I saw this crowd standing around a man talking to them. Curious, I made my way to the edge of the crowd and listened. After a few minutes, I tried to push in a bit to hear him more clearly. There was something captivating about him. He spoke with authority, but without a trace of arrogance; so gracious. I could see by his face his commitment to the crowd, and that he was sharing his heart with them … with us. As he spoke on, I began to feel ashamed. It wasn’t anything he said to condemn me … it was … I don’t know … his … purity; his holiness I suppose. In him was a different sort of life. Mine by contrast was tiny and shabby. I’d never met a man like him. The men I met were after only one thing, for which they paid; not well, and certainly it was no compensation, but it gave me enough to live on … but I paid too. After each encounter, I felt used and diminished. Eventually I became numb to it all, but there was a constant, quenching dullness in my life. Oh I could put on a bright face. If you met me in the market, you would never know. But inside I was empty. As I listened on, a tear fell down my cheek. I wanted to stay, but I couldn’t. I had to get back; I had a client coming that evening and had to get ready.

Each day since, I’ve thought about him, and about what he said about turning from our old ways and seeking God. I can’t get him out of my mind. I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to see him but where could I see him alone – he was often with crowds and his disciples would be around him? I dithered for so long. Would I even be able to get near him, and if I did, what was I going to say? More than that, what did I hope from him? I thought of a hundred reasons why it would be stupid to go. Who was I, that he should be bothered with me, especially as he was usually surrounded by folk with greater needs? What if he ignored me, or worse, rebuked me in front of everyone – I would feel so ashamed?  I agonised for a long time, part of me wanting to see him and try and put things right, and part of me very fearful of what might happen. I had no peace. Eventually, after a real struggle, I decided I was going to try and see him, and somehow tell him I was sorry. And if I left humiliated … well then … at least I tried. I left the house to look for him and began asking folk, “Do you know where Jesus is?” Most folk knew about him – everyone was talking about his healings and miracles – but no one could tell me where he was, or how to find him. – Written by Michael West

cover nicodemus

Extract from Nicodemos You Must Be Born Again

Pastor Abrahams’ book, ‘Nicodemos you must be born again’ is a complete self-interpreted message to the children and the men of God, who have been in ministry for many years, claim to be doing well in ministry, but still needs to be born again.

Some have promoted themselves to Bishops, Apostles, Pastors, Prophets and Evangelists and are still looking forward to what would make them great in the sight of men but in the sight of God they are Nicodemus who needs to be born again of water and of the Spirit in JESUS’ name for the remissions of their sins.

This is a must read especially for our leaders of today.

Here is an extract:

Understanding the parables of Jesus Christ is one of the greatest blessings the Lord has given to His disciples, rather than just the working of miracles, which many people lust after in these last days. Many people claim to receive messages directly from God but lack the spiritual knowledge of revealing God’s heart to His church.

It is one thing to hear from God, and it is another thing to understand His words. In short, man is given the grace to search the Scriptures, and save his soul in this evil world, before the judgment day comes.

The Bible says, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, is given for our salvation (Acts 4:12), and this is done through baptism in Jesus’ name. A sinner washes away their sins in the blood of Jesus Christ, and puts on Christ, the only garment of righteousness that gives man a ticket to the feast of the Lamb of God. (see Matthew 22:1-14) If you are not baptised in Jesus’ name for the remission of your sins then you are without a wedding garment as stated in the Scripture above.

Every human being has the right to the son-ship through Jesus Christ, the son of God. The Bible says God has given us life, we who were dead in sin through Adam, and the life is in His Son, he who has the Son has life and he who has not the Son has no life in him. (Roman 5:12)

This is the revelation of the salvation of man, given to the disciples of Jesus Christ. This is why they did not go about preaching and baptising in the titles of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, because they had received the revelation that Jesus Christ is the second Adam, the Lord God from heaven. God in His mercy did not leave man whom He created in His own image for His worship, to die in sin.

As the omniscient God, He made adequate provision for our salvation before the fall of Adam and Eve whom He knew would fail Him. The greatest gift that God has given to man is Himself; that is; the Creator gave out His life for man, His creature, in giving him eternal life.

Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God and it do not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1John 3:1-2)

the realities of the endtime

Extract from The Realities of the Endtime

Here is a preview of The Realities of the Endtime by Freeman Johnson. This book is a determined and fervent work to bring to the understanding of believers the revelation that is necessary to keep alive both their physical and spiritual alertness towards the Endtime. The reader will get to understand the signs and the period of the end time through the scriptures which Freeman explains further. A must read!

Here is a excerpt:

Let us consider the account of Lazarus and the rich man.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Luke 16: 19-26

This is a well known portion of the Scripture narrated by Christ himself while on earth. Lazarus, although poor, loved the Lord and the rich man who had all at his will, lived without faith in God. After death, both Lazarus and the rich man found themselves within the realm of the departed spirits called Sheol in Hebrew and Hades in Greek but their destinies there were quite different.

The rich man’s spirit was in a place of torment; the spirit of Lazarus was in a place of rest. Between these two places was fixed an impassable gulf that could not be crossed from either side even by the spirits. The place of rest, set apart for the departed spirits of the righteous, here is called, Abraham’s bosom. This title indicates that this place is ordained for the spirit of all those who, in their earthly pilgrimage, followed in the footsteps of faith and obedience marked out by Abraham, who for this reason, is called the father of all those who believe.

Apart from the rich man episode in the Bible, there were men who lived Christless lives and died. Before their death, they testified of their impending doom to perdition and total separation.

On the other hand, we can imagine the joy that believers of Jesus Christ experience when they are called to rest from their labour. This joy is overwhelming, and the state of abode of the believers is the opposite to that of the unbelievers. – extract from Chapter 1, The Realities of the Endtime, Freeman Johnson

Sharing the faith - christian books

Extract from Sharing the Faith

Sharing the Faith, by Ali Ansarifar re-visits some important concepts in the bible which are central to the Judo-Christian faith and important in a proper understanding of God’s revelation and his expectations of us.

It covers these topics: the key message of the Gospel of Christ, God’s plan for advancing humanity, the narrow path to salvation, man’s relationship with God, God’s mercy and judgment on mankind, and understanding two millennia of the Judo-Christian history.

Here is a little preview of the book:

As a friend of Ali Ansarifar and his minister for some years I’m delighted to commend his ‘heart and mind’ reflections on the Christian Faith. For anyone inclined to brush aside Christianity as fanciful myth and of little relevance in a scientific age I would encourage a careful reading of Dr. Ansarifar’s well-reasoned account of the Judeo-Christian story set in the context of our human history, with the centrality of the person of Jesus Christ as pivotal and vital.  Ali Ansarifar’s scientific credentials speak for themselves and his approach to his ‘sharing the faith’ stems from deep rooted convictions about God and His purposes for humankind and also that scientific discipline which demands reason and cogency.

Ali Ansarifar paints a large canvas.  He sees God’s ‘Grand Design’ as involving much more than the natural world and cosmos but a salvation plan for us as well.  From ancient Israel and the call of Abraham to more modern times Dr. Ansarifar takes us through the rise and fall of empires and belief systems.  It’s a big story which calls for more than a nod of assent.  The Gospel of Christ and the love of God demonstrated in the birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus of Nazareth demands heart and as well as mind. It is to be a partner with our Creator in His eternal purposes, to quote Isaac Watts something that “demands my life, my soul, my all.” – Extract from Chapter 1, Sharing the Faith, Ali Ansarifar

loneliness versus being alone

Extract from Loneliness Versus Being Alone

Loneliness versus Being Alone, the Journey from Isolation to Beautiful Solitude by Julie Porter explores in the Bible, what it says about the topic and how it can help you overcome loneliness and be content in solitude.

Split in two parts, the book helpfully dissects:

Part One – Loneliness: What is its definition? Why do people succumb to it? How do we overcome it?

Part Two – Being Alone: What does ‘being alone’ mean? Is there really any good reason for choosing solitude?

Here is an extract from the book by Julie Porter:

CHAPTER TWO – BEING ALONE: Why?

Whatever the opportunity taken, eventually we have to be alone – what happens if we don’t find some ‘me’ time? We become stressed, overworked, pushed to the very limits of our human capabilities of trying to be ‘patient’ and ‘kind’; and like an overstretched rubber band we can snap with dire consequences not only for ourselves but for all others around us.

As it is a choice we make – then we are in a position to recognise that we need to make this decision now before we do ‘snap’.

On many occasions Jesus knew when he needed to be alone. He knew when he needed to re-connect with the Father and just take time out of his heavy schedule to re-energise himself. In Matthew 14 he tried to do this but met with opposition as the people still followed him, he had to forcibly send the disciples off so that he could go and pray.

So if Jesus took this method then I have to pose the question what are the benefits of being alone? I can only conclude that it has its joys – in setting yourself apart from others you can find respite from the crowds and from the noise. When we are alone we can make time to do what we want to do rather than what others want us to do.

You see, when Jesus prayed he always prayed alone – to get his focus on God to be away from the needy crowd and from teaching and leading his disciples. In fact when the disciples ask Him to teach them to pray he encourages them:

…when you pray go to your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matthew 6:6

Jesus encourages them to go to their room, to their own personal space where they are comfortable and at ease. Then his next instruction is to close the door, i.e. to shut everything out – it’s you and God alone in prayer.  Then, finally pray to your Father who is unseen – not to an idol made of earthly materials and placed in front of you so you can look at it and focus on it, but to the Father who is unseen, i.e. you need faith and belief to pray.

Silly Little Bumble Bee

Silly Little Bumble Bee is an exciting children story book with (lessons to learn), lots and lots of BUZZZZZ, CROAACK and quirky little songs to the tune of [Five Little Ducks and You Can’t Catch Me].

Great for the kids!

Here is an extract from the book:

“Hi Shenic.”

“Hi Nicknic….What are you doing?”

“My mummy said I must go to my grandma, but I don’t want to.”  “Why are you going then?” asked Shenic.  “…cause she said to.”  He paused as he watched the birds flying.

Shenic starred at him and muttered, “my mummy ask me to go to my grandma but I don’t always go.”  “It’s ok not to go then?” Nicknic asked as they walked along the grass verge.

Immediately, an angel appeared and hovered nearby singing…

Two frogs went logging one day,

Over the fields and far away,

One said to the other not this way,

Why not the other asked and carried on play,

The first frog laughed, hee, hee, hee,

You will be bitten by the little bumble bee – CROAK!

“Oh, but that won’t happen to me,” replied the second frog and quickly jumped off the log singing…

Silly, silly little bumble bee

You can’t catch me

You can’t catch me

I’m too fast for you, you see

the gift

Extract from The Gift

Ann Nunn’s book (assisted by Liz Leach Murphy), The Gift, takes a refreshing approach to painting an honest picture of the raw realities of being a Family Carer based on my first-hand experience, and explores how my Christian faith has been my lifeline and supported me through challenging times, whilst featuring practical teaching methods that can unlock the potential of a child living with learning difficulties. We have researched the market and have not found any other publication that features the range of issues that we overcame as a family; a son with a rare disability, a husband with significant mental health issues, home teaching, poverty and homelessness.

Here is an extract from her book:

A Threefold Cord: A story of faith and triumph

I have faced many challenges in my life with surprising twists and turns, always with interesting outcomes. My faith is really important to me and my family, and God has been the provider of the strength I have needed at difficult times. The Lord has always been there for me. I know that Simon’s future is in His safe hands. This is not easy, but I know (beyond all doubt) that GOD IS FAITHFUL.

Support

I attend a church fellowship on Tuesday evenings (bible class) and we are “family”. We pray for each other and our concerns. This mutual support means a great deal to me.

I have also found great strength in loud singing, “songs of deliverance”. These provide comfort and reassurance during difficult times.

In my times of desperation, I discovered for real that ‘God is my refuge, strength and a very present help in trouble’ (Psalm 46:1), a constant support and companion. I am repeatedly helped, strengthened and comforted when I call on the name of the Lord to help.

Through believing in the Lord and believing in His promises I have felt comforted about Simon, what he can achieve and his future.

The hymn “What a Friend we have in Jesus” states: ‘Take it to the Lord in prayer.’ (Hymnal.net, 2019a) and that is the best thing to do because we cannot cope on our own – but ‘What a privilege’! (Hymnal.net, 2019a).

This has given me a strength that has been invaluable, especially during times that have been very challenging when I have not been able to take the sorrows and burdens of the world upon me, but I have known who can.

maid for a purpose - christian books

Extract from Maid for a Purpose

Maid for a Purpose by Carol Stanley is a beautiful story about a young girl, living in the biblical age of the prophets who is captured by bandits and taken to a strange land.

Here is an extract from the book:

Chapter One – Humble Beginnings

Roza’s mother was an attractive woman in her thirtieth year.  Her former beauty was slightly faded due to her having had five children; hard work had also taken its toll.  Roza’s father was an elder in the village who spent days talking with other men about the business affairs of Thirza.  Her four brothers were aged three, five, seven and nine. Their names were Samuel, Nathan, Matthias and Benjamin.   She was the eldest and the only girl.  Second mother to the boys, she cared for them when her parents were out working; taking them to school, feeding them, trying to keep them well behaved, all a difficult task at times.  It left little time for herself, but she accepted her part in the family, as her father had instructed her to. It was the custom in Israel.

Roza’s family loved God and tried to obey Him in their way of life. Daily prayers were said at home and the Jewish festivals observed regularly.

The Passover was one of the main events in the village.  Once a year every home remembered the escape by their forefathers from Egypt where they had been slaves.  They had been promised a land flowing with milk and honey, God’s chosen place for them.  A lamb was cooked and eaten and a special ceremony was acted out.  There were other special times of celebration all to remember God’s goodness to the nation of Israel.

Roza felt God close to her at all times and talked to Him as she went about her chores. She knew all the stories about her ancestors: Abraham, who was called by God to leave his country and go to the land of Canaan.  He had a son in his old age called Isaac.  God was starting to build a people who would follow Him.  Moses, how he had led the children of Israel across the Red sea to safety; David the shepherd king who had defeated the giant Goliath in his youth, and many other people who followed God and trusted Him to help them through hard times.  It made Roza feel that she too could trust God to keep her safe.
