The 3 A's by D S Reynolds

Extract from The 3 A’s

The 3 A’s , (Align, Assign, Accomplish) Christian Life and Development by D. S Reynolds, is here to help individuals align with the Word of God.

What it’s about…

It is wonderful to know that whatever it is he wants us to do, he equips us with the necessary tools and resources that we need. However, this often needs to be coupled with us exercising obedience, faith and trust in Him.

Here is an extract…

What is Alignment?

I have spent some time sharing some very personal information and the question should be asked what all this has to do with alignment.

Alignment can be defined as: Arrangement in a straight line or in correct relative positions. A position of agreement or alliance. (www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com web.18 May 2020)

In order for something to be aligned, there needs to be awareness that it is not straight or not in the correct position. It needs to be lined up with something else. For example, the wheel of a car can be impacted by hitting a kerb or pothole that can result in the wheel becoming misaligned. If that does occur, then that will impact on the wear and tear of the tyres. It can also affect the steering of the vehicle. Misaligned tyres can also cause vibration in the steering wheel which makes the car more difficult to handle. In extreme cases, misalignment can result in a pull to one side causing the car not to drive in a straight line. Driving with misaligned tyres, particularly at speed, can be dangerous, especially if a blow-out should occur.

One can apply the principle of misalignment to life in a similar way. An external situation can impact upon a person’s life so much so that it affects who they are, what they become and how they perceive themselves. This whole process is not necessarily intentional by any means, just as it is very unlikely that someone intentionally hits a kerb or pothole whilst driving.

These events usually occur by accident or through a circumstance beyond your control. It may be some time before you even realise how much damage has been caused to the vehicle. Initially, the damage may appear to be subtle, but over time you usually become aware that the car is not performing to its full potential. If you are not sure what is causing the problem, you are likely to go to a mechanic, explain the issues you are experiencing, and the mechanic is likely to undertake a diagnostic analysis to identify the problem. In this day and age, we are very blessed with technology and we may be inclined to check things out on Google. However, this is not a problem that can easily be resolved remotely. The car needs to be taken to a garage where the mechanic has access to the correct machinery and equipment to resolve the problem.

Similarly, when we hit our potholes in life, it is imperative we apply the same principle of identifying that something is misaligned within us. There is usually some indication; you know within yourself, when something is not quite right. You may have had those moments where you ask yourself questions like, Why do I react like that in those situations? or Why do I experience these emotions under these circumstances? or Why do I seem to attract the wrong people? or Why am I not like….?

Understanding the strategies of satan - christian books

Extract from Understanding the Strategies of Satan

Understanding the Strategies of Satan: Preparing Humanity for Eternity is written by Samuel Koroma.

What it’s about…

This book is about when in this Endtime, that old serpent, the dragon and devil, known as Satan is implementing hidden strategies to distract, deceive and dehumanize humanity. His objective is to destroy man! But Understanding the Strategies of Satan, as empowered by the Holy Spirit, unravels hidden tricks of Satan and reveals Heavenly Principles to help mankind elude eternal devastation and enjoy infinite happiness with their Maker.

Watch therefore for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come – Matthew 24:42

Here’s an extract…

The Spirit of Unbelief
Demonic hazes continuously hover around humanity, as inhabitants grapple for planetary survival. The drum of an emerging life-seizure begins to sound. The atmosphere keeps mutating and the smart would begin to decipher the fragrance of eternal celebration. The devil fights to institute a demonic blockage, and establish his real-time deprivation of heavenly possession. Cunningly, he befriends the ignorant, in surprised expectation of a gloomy future. Roaring to embrace defiant broods, a holy generation ever succeeds to undermine the dark tries of the dragon. And untiringly, Satan employs multiple strategies to eternally separate human creatures from their Creator. The objective of that old serpent is to get humanity to ignore the source of their immortality. Satan desires to see man disobey the Almighty God. He aims to get man to obey his detrimental protocols.
But he does that in so many ways, some of which can only be revealed by the spirit of our eternal Father. As a Christian, you must truly understand Satan’s tricks to successfully execute your assignment and maintain your salvation in this physical domain.

In the garden of Eden, the Almighty God instructed man to eat of any other tree, but not of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. He cautioned that the day man feeds from it, man shall surely die – Genesis 2:16-17. And in verses 1-6 of chapter 3 of the same book of Genesis, man was deceived by that old serpent, who emphasized that the Almighty God instructed man to not eat of that tree because man’s eyes would be opened and recognise good and evil. And indeed, the Almighty God did reveal in Genesis 3:22 that man detected good and evil, after suckling from the tree. Satan, many times, presents camouflaged packages that seem right to man, but the end produces eternal devastation. The deception man accommodated from the devil led to a divine separation between man and the Almighty God. But even with man’s disobedience, God loves man so much and would do all to bring back His lost creation. Satan says man would not die if man eats from the tree, which implies man should not believe what the Almighty God warns of. Satan sets man against his Maker. And when man is wrapped up in unbelief, relating with his heavenly Father triggers another phase of spiritual warfare. – by Samuel Koroma

Out Now! Linda Plant’s second book with us, Voice in the Wilderness.

Here’s what it is all about…

For the Christian there is no promise that the sun will always shine and that winter winds will be kept from our experience. We set out upon a great adventure of faith, it is a journey of life and perhaps the turning of the road will be much different that we could have ever expected! For us, this was a journey set in God’s calling and answered faithfully.

Here’s an extract for you…

voice in the wilderness

THE PLACE OF VISION
At this time I had little concept of revival and had never really read about it or given the subject any focused study. However, through our living in the church and the work we were involved with; more and more we became aware of the need for a new place of blessing and the wonder that renewal brings into the life of church. We were in a church which had for many years known the riches of the moving of the Holy Spirit, but even so, very slowly a tiredness creeps in, we slip into something less and have not even noticed.
One day I was walking along a corridor in the church building, I can see it now as if it had just this moment happened. A very ordinary day just doing very normal things. How amazing it is that when the Holy Spirit chooses to open to us a window in heaven, always we are caught unawares. Then it is that what was the very ordinary becomes bathed in heavenly light and will never ever be either the same again nor will it fade from our memory. I did not instigate it. Nor did I realise that it was to bring about a seismic shift in my thinking about church and how we go about our ‘doing of church.’
There came to me at this moment a sudden opening up of, the first, of a series of scriptures. It was as though a great light shone and I both saw and understood in a new way. I was taken up into the
heavens and the light of the Glory of God transformed my life for ever. I stood still in the corridor and it seemed that everything around me became distant, while my heart and mind were flooded with the piercing light of heaven. Further to that, it happened again, over the next few days four passages of scripture were opened up to my understanding in a deep incisive way. Each piece of scripture came again as a direct intervention of the Holy Spirit. Now they came together as a pattern which flowed on, one from the other; each extending the vision until it became a whole and complete picture, given by the Spirit.
The Lord initiated this place within my heart for Himself and it seemed to me as though heaven itself had opened up, revealing truth, bringing direction and purpose. It brought to me a vision of revival and as it were, a heavenly plan for God’s intervention in our lives as His church. – by Linda Plant

Extract from The Gift

Ann Nunn’s book (assisted by Liz Leach Murphy), The Gift, takes a refreshing approach to painting an honest picture of the raw realities of being a Family Carer based on her first-hand experience, and explores how Ann’s Christian faith has been her lifeline and supported her through challenging times, whilst featuring practical teaching methods that can unlock the potential of a child living with learning difficulties.

Hear Ann Nunn live on #ucb2 Ruth O’Reilly’s show, THIS IS MY STORY from 9.30am, Tuesday 26th July! https://www.ucb.co.uk/ruth

Here is an extract from her book:

No-one to confide in
I was 21 and still very young at the time. None of my family members or friends had a similar job to the one I had at the hospital and this meant that I had no-one to confide in and talk to about what I was experiencing and observing. I didn’t have a role model or family member to take counsel with.

At that time there was nothing out of the ordinary about having huge hospitals/institutions to house people who “didn’t fit” into civil society. There was also nothing unusual about how Claybury Hospital was run as this is what was expected in these sorts of places. These types of hospitals were all over the place – thankfully that has changed, although institutional thinking still exists, and it can govern the way people are supported and treated by society.

When I now think about this place and I reflect on my time and experience there I still feel sad; it was a sad place and a place in which I would not be happy to have any family member or loved one of mine.

Through the community care movement of the 1990s and the initiative for people to be able to remain in their community and return to the community, Claybury Hospital was closed. There was a public inquiry held in 1997 and since the hospital’s closure the building has been converted into luxury apartments.

1000 Reasons to Praise the Lord - christian books

1000 Reasons to Praise the Lord

Just published! 1000 Reasons to Praise the Lord by Johnson Ajayi.

There are many reasons for men and women to praise the Lord. Some are obvious, like food, shelter and health; but others are less apparent. We often tend to take those obscure ones for granted or, we just don’t think of them. Furthermore, we have individual stories that teach us to thank God. Some are pleasant but some are harrowing. If we must thank God for all things, then, we must thank Him for reasons that teach or mould us.

Johnson’s book is a veritable encyclopaedia of reasons to praise God. A treasure trove of stories and lessons learned through life’s experiences and a lifetime of service as a doctor and Obstetrician-Gynaecologist. A rich compendium of real-life stories and some personal confessions! All seasoned with Johnson’s unique African-Nigerian history and perspective. Truly refreshing, uplifting, inspiring, motivating, empowering.
